Grounds Crew

Grounds crew consists of a team of 12-14 people.  Part time and full-time positions are available from April 15th – October 15th.  We employ both students and mature adults for shifts ranging from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Safety for grounds crew is the biggest priority in the workplace.  Wood Lake RV Park follows all BC WorkSafe protocols; protective gear or PPE is provided. Steel toed shoes or boots are always mandatory in the park and are purchased by the employee.  Golf carts are provided for each worker and full training of golf carts along with power tools is provided.

Daily tasks include:

  • Collection of garbage and recycling
  • Raking sites
  • Sweeping docks
  • Cleaning the beach
  • Cleaning out fire pits
  • Checking the creek for large sticks and debris/waste
  • Cleaning the dog park and replacing doggie bags in their containers
  • Mowing with push mowers
  • Weed Whacking
  • Washing picnic tables
  • Painting
  • Stacking wood
  • Wood delivery to sites as required
  • Cleaning Kid’z Zone
  • Washroom spot checks

 

Grounds crew must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.  In extreme heat and rain, duties and hours are reduced accordingly.

This position is best suited for someone who is outgoing with a friendly demeanour.  Grounds crew report directly to the Outdoor Operations Manager.
